Anyone who thinks its kidd is ignorant i dont even know why he is on the team hes not that experienced in olympic play and he is too slow. it has to be lebron james he is the best player on the team and they look for him for leadership

Kobe and Kidd. They both are older and know better. Kobe is when it comes to being an example on the floor and Kidd is of the court so they both r but for different purposes.

Jason Kidd...He is the oldest and most experienced player on team USA, and he is the only one with a medal, the younger players look up to him and absorb his advice and use it on the court mentally! He is the true leader, but on the court it would have to be Kobe!

I thought Kidd was the leader, but when I watched the Russia game I realized its really Kobe. The team might've lost the game if it wasn't for Kobe. Kobe was the reason they didn't go behind in the 3rd quarter

Coach K is the leader of the team cause all these players are great.  If I had to pick one player it would be Kobe because no one else on the team has more skill and experience.

edit: to everyone who says otherwise, watch road to redemption yes kidd and bryant somewhat are both looked up to but the true leader is kobe, listen to carmelo or lebron they all go "When i heard kobe was going to compete i knew this was going to be serious" and no its not lebron who ever said that.

Hmm...as tough as a response as this is, given all the talent on Team USA, I say the leader of the team by example is Kobe Bryant. He has been a lock on defense and has exemplary play on the court for the team. Someone who isn't getting as many minutes as he should be is Michael Redd. Last year he was the true leader of the team. Redd plays in Milwaukee, and because of that people tend to not give him the respect he deserves. When Team USA hits a bump on their potential road to glory, look for Redd's leadership off the bench to help them thrive.
