If the question is "Who were the victims when the League of Nations decided the fate of Palestine after WW II"--the answer is that the Palestinians--the Arabs--were the victims. The Palestinians were the ones who were forced out of  their homes, only to watch them given freely to Jews from Europe and Russia who had never even lived in Palestine before.

Imagine if you were thrown out of your home in CA, forced to go live in a tent in a desert for 60+ years, because a few distant nations overseas decided they wanted to relocate some foreign refugees to CA, and there was no room FOR YOU or your FAMILY in CA any more.  So OUT YOU GO, and foreigners get your home and your 1/2 acre yard  for FREE.  Hey, you never even got a Real Estate Agent's estimate, let alone $1 compensation for your home!

I guarantee, you wouldn't like it.

The Jews never 'owned' Palestine in the first place--and those few Jews that lived there 1,000s of years ago weren't forced out by the Arabs, it was the ROMANS who did that.

I think it's odd that the other answerer would accuse you of being "anti-Semitic" for posing a fair, unbiased question--which reveals that HE is biased in favor of Israel.  Without having ANY FACTS to back him up.

They are both victims caused by painful misunderstandings.

EDIT:  Israelis never forced anyone to leave.  

When the divide was made by the UN, there was supposed to be an Israeli state and a Palestinian state, which were mapped out. The Palestinians refused their share as they were told by the Arab nations that they would regain the entire  territory after the war was won.  It was the Jerusalem mufti who encouraged all Palestinians to leave their home and run off to Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon or Gaza.  He thought that when those Arab nations waged war against Israel they would win and conqueror the land back after it was rightfully given to the Jewish people by a UN vote.  When those Arab nations fell to their knees, they were unable to keep their promise to the Palestinians who were encouraged to leave their homes.  It had nothing to do with Israel.

The European Jewish people who came to live in Israel were mostly holocaust survivors who had no place to go.  Since Israel has a 4000 years of Jewish history and heritage, it was the most logical place to create a Jewish state.

Had there not been anti-Semitism in the world through out the ages, which drove people like Hitler to murder 6,000,000 Jews in cold blood, there would have never been a need for a Jewish state in the first place.
