Who is the worst batsmen in the indian test lineup?

Who is the most inconsistent and worst batsmen out these batsmen, and state your reasons why.

All are best batsmen. But dhoni is not good enough when compared to your choises. I am his fan in odi and t20 but i dont like him in test cricket. So, dhoni is not worst batsmen but not good than others

Jaffer is just not fitting in.

As for Dhoni, I see you have picked up a drive , shall we say. I am no fan of his. But I think India does need him as a Wicketkeeper.

In test matches, I give the following marks.

Jaffer (41.2); Sehwag (54.7); Dravid (58.1); Sachin (58); Ganguly (44.5); Laxman (43.8); Dhoni (34.6). Bradman = 100.

In ODI matches, my ratings are:

Jaffer (Not played enough to judge); Sehwag (65.6); Dravid (71.7); Sachin (85.7); Ganguly (79.1); Laxman (57); Dhoni (72.6). Dean Jones = 100.

i feel that jaffer is, he isnt consistent enough, but then again so isnt  dhoni

Dhoni is by far the worst. Infact, he hasn't matured as a test player yet, and still lacks sound batting technique, which is necessary to cope with the bowling attack in the test match. Moreover, Dhoni is negligent in improving his batting skills. All that he cares about is criticizing the seniors, when he himself has achieved nothing significant in tests. Jaffer plays well only occasionally, but I think that overall, he lacks consistency. Wasim Jaffer has been given many opportunity's , but he failed to prove himself.

Every one out of the fabulous 5 batsman of the Indian test batting line up is awesome. Anyone out of them can never be the worst. In every test victories that India acquires, atleast one of them plays a vital role. It's Sachin, Sehwag, Sourav, Dravid and Laxman who has brought India to it's present position in test cricket. They are the possessers of unique talent, and their level of perfection is indeed hard to achieve. The fabulous 5 truly rock.
