Who is this Obama guy?

I have been out of the country on business affairs and i came back and he's all anyone talks about.My colleagues make fun of me because i don't know who he is.Is he from 'American Idol'?

It seems you have been out for quite some time since basically the entire world has been aware of Barack Obama for just about the entire year.  That, or this is a lame attempt at sarcasm ("American Idol" comparison).  

"He's some heart throb that's getting presidential votes because he's good looking and speaks well ...Not because he has any actual experience or qualifications"

Consider the alternative, who seems to equate experience with being a yes man for the current failure of the Bush administration.  That is not the kind of "experience" I look for in a candidate.  I'll take my chances with some new blood over the McSame old failed policies.

Next election we should just have a 'Presidential Idol' show. Its pretty much what we're doing now. Who cares if he can run the country? He's cute!!

He is the first African-American Presidential candidate for a mainstream party, and therefore, is attracting a lot of media attention. He has little experience, but is good-looking, and in today's media-enshrined world, that matters a lot (doesn't really).

He's actually mixed race, not black. He's going to be bad for black people, if he wins, because he will be forced to pursue the same agenda as the whites before him.
