  1. *****I can't even guess accurately, but he is obviously a doctor since hes wearing a stethoscope.  Try arranging clues like this until you narrow the field.  What time era are you looking at? etc...

  2. That is Sir Charles Lyell.

    Here is how I found out the answer: Notice the seal in the upper right corner. If you look carefully, or use a paint program to sharpen the image, you can see that it says "King's College of London". I did a Google search for "famous scientist King's College" and got a list of famous people associated with with King's College (http://www.kcl.ac.uk/about/history/peopl... Then I did a Google image search on each of the names until I found your image under the name Sir Charles Lyell (http://www.malaspina.com/jpg/lyell.jpg).

  3. looks like "dr. Charles hilton fagge", this is the closest i can get.

    Don't ask about the name =P
