Ok so we all know the favorites (Busch, Edwards, Johnson)

Who do you think might be a legitimate threat for the title that isn't really being considered?

  1. Dale Jr. since he's 4th in points, and the favorites are the Top 3, so I guess that automatically makes Jr. the 4th choice

  2. Marcos Ambrose! GO AUSSIES!!!!

  3. I'm gonna go with Jeff Burton or Kevin Harvick.

  4. Kenseth.

  5. I'm going to with Kevin Harvick as my darkhorse. His last few races leading into the chase have been very good. Momentum means everything this late in the year. He has qualified terrible but has raced his way into the top 10 every race here of late.

  6. Kenseth or Harvick

  7. I don't know if this would be a dark horse, but i honestly think Jr can win his first cup championship this year.

  8. If Gordon makes the Chase I think he will be a threat. David Ragan could sneak up on people too if he makes it.

  9. Matt kenseth

  10. Jeff Burton. He can sneak right in there and make a run at the championship from 5th.

  11. I'd say once again it would be Bowyer. Know one is talking about him like last year, and he blew al but 2 guys out of the water in last years chase.

  12. Jr. All of the drivers are capable but consistency seems to be the downfall. Jr. did have a lot of consistency and stayed in the top 4-5 all season. The champion may not even win in the last ten races, seems unlikely but you never know. Consistency is the key fact here (my opinion) Whoever you pick...Have Fun and Good luck

  13. Jeff Gordon

  14. Dale Jr, he's in 4th place that would be so wild if he could pull this off. but my real dark horse to get in the chase is David Ragan and have him end up 5th overall..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  15. look out for the #16, #17 and the #6 (i'm hoping he makes it)

  16. Don't count Jeff Burton out.  I could see him quietly walking away with it.  Nobody really mentions him, but maybe they should.

    *MOJO*

  17. Anyone whose last name is not Busch,Edwards or Johnson must be considered a dark horse. So my pick is Matt Kenseth. Surprise surprise.

  18. smoke. he's not dead yet, and he'll want to go out with a bang; read any of the articles about him lately (rolling stone, men's journal), he usually does...

    ;-)

  19. Denny Hamlin

  20. Greg Biffle.

  21. Although he hasn't won a race since last year, he has been coming on strong as of late. Since Chicago he has finishes of 3rd, 37th, 4th, 6th, 8th, 4th and 4th. If you haven't guessed already the driver is Kevin Harvick. Lately this team has been clicking on all cylinders and is poised to make a run at the title. He can easily finish the season top five in the standings and may do so without a win, but I believe he will win before the season is over. Watch out for Harvick in the Chase!

  22. My darkened horse for a championship winner is...

    Kyle Busch

  23. I think Kasey Kahne... he's capable of winning a lot more races.

  24. David Ragan... if he makes it in?

He's been driving the wheel's off lately [real quietly]

  25. Jeff Gordon

  26. harvick, he's been so quiet this year.  it seems that his team is peaking at the right time so i think he'll make a run for the championship.

  27. I'm going to say Biffle, I think he is getting hot at the right time and he will finish out well, he always performs at Homestead and it could come down to that.
