Who is your favorite Death Note character?

Mine would have to be either L or Ryuk, my reasons are because both of them crack me up every time I watch Death Note! I love that show btw! ^^

L, no doubt about it. L is a genius , plus his character is really unique. If you looked  at other anime's, L is really different. Imagine that a person like L exist. Not going to school, but really smart, gaining the top 3 detective list, but not showing his real identity. His perceptions are really different from what we think. His intuitive skills are also above average, he notice thinks fast and can come up of thousand of ideas.

Another thing is he is like an addict, not nocturnal and not a early worm. He doesn't sleep , he's addicted to exploring that he doesn't sleep anymore. That's one of the reason's why L is so smart. While normal people spend about 12-13 hours per day. L uses 24 hours, that's what's making him a genius.

he's the greatest detective in the world, & also his addiction to sweets is so cute. i love the way he sits/does things XD always makes me laugh~~

light is okay, i dont love him or hate him, but man, the way he laughs in the very last episode is HILARIOUS XD

oh ryuk, & his love for apples :3 he's so cute sometimes! XD

L is the best, Not only is he the hottest anime guy ever. ^w^ Squee(fangirl moment) but he is so intelligent and quick-thinking. The way he does...everything, from the way he sits to the food he eats, it's all just completely amazing...Ahem...yes I am obsessed at this point. Near is awesome too, but Ryuk is just so hilarious and definately takes second. I used to be ok with Light, but, ugh, he just had to force Rem to kill L. After that point, I wanted Light to lose...and then die. <SPOILER> I absolutely loved when he went insane after he was caught.

He burns calories just by thinking about the Kira case and he almost solved the Kira case entirely by himself if it weren't for Light in the end who cheated by forcing Rem into a tight predicament that resulted in her demise as well as watari and L's.  L  WE SHALL AVENGE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine's a tie between L and Near...I just can't choose! They're so quirky and childish, but still super smart.

Ryuk comes in as a close second because he's my hero in the last manga. :3
