  1. I wrote an article about a year ago on this very topic.  I listed the fighters who I will go out of the way to watch when they are on TV.  And I also listed the fighters that I avoid like the plague.

As I said, this list is a year old and a bit outdated with the retirements of Arturo Gatti and Chris Byrd.

  2. After all the great boxers through the years I can honestly say that none of them match the old timers. Bring back Hit Man Hearns (Power), Sugar Ray (speed) and Marvellous Marvin Haglar (relentless), MikeTyson (for the fear) and Nigel Benn (for the panic, when you see him on ropes) and then he goes mental!

  3. Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao

    .....voted as the best pound-for-pound boxer today;

.....just won four (4) championships in four (4) different categories!

  4. I need to mention more then one

Pacquiao- makes any fights exciting. Very humble

Jorge Arce- Heart of a freacking lion, actually more like a tiger. I think hes crazy, but I like his style of boxing. Also, pretty funny boxer.

Miguel Cotto- Body punches, body punches and excellent boxing skills.

    and finally

Emmanuel Augustus- Although he was a clown in the ring, and he never won any major titles. He introduced drunking boxing to the sport of boxing. He is also, pretty fun to watch in the boxing ring because of box dancing techniques.

  5. i enjoy watching boxing too much to single out one boxer. If I had to rate them on a scale then i could have a clearer picture. Most defiantly the welterweight class is the most exciting and available to watch.

  6. Manny Pacquiao

  7. my favorite is miguel cotto. kelly pavlik is also another one. and i can't leave out Manny Pacquiao

  8. kelly pavlik

  9. i like many i think boxing in 2008 is better than ever and is not an american thing like it used to be from 20's till 90's thank god other countries are allowed to have pro boxers nowadays cause boxing all these years was interesting only in olympics where all nations could participate!

    anyways back to ur question

i like 4-5 boxers of nowadays i can't name one

wladimir is definately one ,pavlik too,,joe THE LEGEND calzaghe, arthur abraham is pretty impressive and i hate to admit it cause this boy talks trash but i am impressed by the last 2-3 fights of david haye (if he steps in heavyweight tho he will commit suicide)

  10. Pavlik...but David 'Haymaker' Haye deserves notice as well.

  11. Manny Pacquiao.

    He fights for the fans.
