  1. rocky the legend the undefeated(the man who punched the "legendary" joe luis outside the ring ) the amazing the italian stallion ROCKY MARCIANO

  2. James Figg, because there would be no modern boxing without him.

  3. There are loads of options but in the era I grew up in....

    Floyd Mayweather

He is simply the best, im sorry if other people are complaining but the man is too good. Every good boxer could be beaten but he can there is simply noone that can beat him in a pretty lively division.

So the prettyboy is the greatest ever!

  4. This is complicated because i like many fighters equally, i enjoy watching the technical aspects of boxing but i also like an explosive fighter that can make the fight interesting, in that regard i like mike tyson the most, part of it is because i grew up watching him fight and in a way he really stood out from the rest, the heavyweight division is usually slower because the guys are so big and it is rare to see a guy that combines speed and power the way tyson did, he was relentless, closing the gap while bobbing and weaving and finishing his opponents with hard punches, only when comparing the way other heavyweights fought and the way iron mike fought does one really appreciate tyson's skills (in his prime) people can say what they want about tyson the man, he might not have been the brightest or the best ever, but anyone who says that he could not fight is simply delusional, not only could he fight but he could do it much better than many greats that came before and after him, not only was tyson a great fighter but he was exciting to watch, whenever he stepped into the ring you knew that something special was going to happen....no other fighter in history possessed such an aura of invincibilty and terror, many of his opponents stepping into the ring looked like guys on deathrow waiting to be executed. He was brutal,he was skilled and he knew what he was doing in the ring......back then i remember that kids never questioned tyson's dominance, to us he was the baddest man on the planet and for three years he proved us right each time he stepped in to the ring.

  5. it was mike tyson until he destroyed his own career so i would have to say marvin hagler or julio ceaser chavez

  6. Unarguably ALI! Very entertaining, ver dramatic and very efficient. His shuffle is enough to make other boxers gasp for air. Ever wonder why no other boxer has tried doing the shuffle? They will run out of oxygen one time!

  7. mike tyson......

  8. to the one who said floyd's the best, shame on you! I know we have each others opinion, but hey ducking all the good in his division and still talk **** even when he retired? He can't even fight joshua clottey the least?

to the question, It's RJJ! NO one does it better than him and all the greatest that lived in his time he beat and all his losses he avenged. Power, speed and invincibility.Excitement and thrill, that what's makes a real great. At least 4 world titles, on all the sanctioning body for many times including the heavyweight, he was the only one who did that. There was a time where he had no one left to fight that he was obliged to fight on a higher weight and still destroyed everyone in there, and then to the next weight, i mean wtf?? He was inhuman back then. He was the best, and still continues to fight and challenged the best today (calzaghe), unlike you mr. PBF...?/?

  9. Don curry because he took the boxer/puncher style to a new level.it was a shame he was not a great fighter but who knows another will come along one day and hopefully this one can fight.

  10. Virgil Hill.

He is from the same area of the world that I am and a friendly acquaintance of mine. So I admit to being biased and taking an extra interest in his career compared to others.

I've never been a "fanboy" of anyone in the sense that I lose all logic in discussing them. I think Hill was very good in his prime, but obviously lacked KO power and would have struggled with the all time greats. However, for his era and with what he had, he very much over achieved and has nothing to be sorry about.

  11. Tough question as I could name many. I grew up in the 80's so I like Duran, Hagler, Hearns and Leonard among others. I guess Hagler would be my favorite though. He could brawl and box and take anything thrown at him. I noticed Donald Curry's name mentioned on here. That was a surprise for me. I am from his home town of Fort Worth and followed his amateur fights and watched him sparr all the time. He had all the potiential to be a great. I have no idea what happened to him. One day he just didn't have it anymore. I believe it was some chump named Honigun or somthing like that, that Curry got easily beat by.

  12. Diego "Chico" Corrales he was my favorite ever he had good speed great power but as a man he was even better he was calm kind easy to talk to and i've never someone as passionate for boxing than him.GOD BLESS CHICO!! R.I.P.

i also liked Ike Quartay his jab was the best i've ever seen he was my favorite growing up

  13. I agree with Shawn C.  Chico is also my favorite also.  He wasn't the best, but he was my favorite.  He fought with the heart of a lion every time he stepped in the ring.  It was unbelievable.  He never took a night off.  If you signed a contract to fight him you were signing to go to war for 12 rounds.

  14. Ricky Hatton. He has to be my fav beacuse the way he boxes; It's just explosive and brilliant to watch an he atracts some amazing crowds and on top of all that he is a multi time 2-weight world champion.
