Who is your favorite comedian turned actor?

mine of course is eddie murphy. he's done it all comedies,family movies and even on drama/musical. whose yours and why?

I'm going with Adam Sandler. Love most of his movies like "Billy Madison" and "Happy Gilmore". and "Water Boy", to name a few (actually his best). I would go with Eddie Murphy in the 80's.

Mine is Dane Cook. I love his stand up and the movies Employee of the Month and Mr Brooks.

He played an Awesome role in Mr. Brooks, cant wait to see him in more.

I also love Wanda Sykes Hall, she is Hilarious!!!

Tom Hanks is the most successful one, but I like Will Ferrell and Robin Williams. When they are on their game, they are great.

Tom Hanks. He's a living legend in film and his on-camera timing is the best ever by any actor in Hollywood. He's the guy that our great grand children will probably rarely watch but will have weird neon-adorned paintings of him and Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts Bruce Willis sitting in a late night coffee shop hanging on their apartment walls.

Yeah I'd probably have to go with Eddie Murphy, too.  Mainly for nostalgic reasons these days, I've been a fan for so long.  I just really wish he'd do something hard again, lots of action and dirty jokes.  He was so good in those movies.
