Russell Crowe comes to mind. I discount Mel Gibson because he is a bigot, and he only acts in dumb movies anyway. Any other actors from England, Australia, New Zealand you think are convincing as Americans? Male or Female.

  1. the guy who plays house.  can't remember his name, hugh

  2. I think Arnold Shwartzeneggerereerrer (sp)? because he is so obviously not American, it's funny. I think he's the only foreigner in America who's lived here for 30 years and his accent has gotten stronger.

  3. hugh grant sean connery  catherine zeta jones

  4. Actually, Mel Gibson is a US citizen, born in Peekskill, NY and raised in Oz.

    However, consider the following

    Minnie Driver

    Eddie Izzard

    Liam Neison

    Colin Farrel

    Hugh Laurie

  5. idk if he counts but i guess..

    Hugh Laurie

  6. Anna Friel

I didn't rate her as an actress until I saw her in  Pushing Daisies, but she really is fantastic in that.

Kevin McKidd was good in Journeyman, sadly the series didn't last that long.

  7. Hugh Laurie

He is awesome. I would have never know he had an accent and his role in House is so convincing.
