  1. Albert Pujols - great guy all around (on and off the field).

  2. nick swisher (the dirty thirty) lol.

he's a great player and brings so much life to the dugout with his crazy personality.

  3. I gotta say Joe Crede of the Chicago White Sox. That guy just gives it his all every time. He tried playing with his bad back, but realized that he just couldn't do it. It was hurting him more and most importantly, hurting the team because his defense wasn't as great and his offense was becoming a little shaky, after that great april and those strings of homeruns. Also, geez. He knew he couldn've lost his place on his team to Josh Fields and what does he do? He helps Fields. He plays for his team and the fans. His defense, with the exception of this year, I suppose, is stellar. He helped the sox in 2005 win the world series and break the 88 year drought. He's Clutch Crede.  He's a great player and teammate.

Uribe better watch out when he comes back from the DL because Ozzie is going to see that the White Sox need Joe Crede: the late-inning hero.

Sorry. Maybe I made him seem too big, but I can't help it. He's a Pure-Bred White Sox player...He's only been with the white sox you don't see all too many of those...over a long period of time, i mean.

Hopefully, Ozzie and Kenny keep this guy on the team. He really deserves it.

  4. My favorite player is Scott Rolen because he is one of the best defensive players in the game. I personally like defense more than power and he is just fantastic at his position the "Hot Corner"!!! And I was glad when he became a Cardinal player, as I was so sad to see his departure of St. Louis.

  5. Jose Reyes. I really don't like big market teams but I just love this guy. He is so energetic and so fast. He is a triples machine. He has a lot of errors than he usually does this year but he is a really good fielder. And is one of the best base stealers in the league.

  6. Juan Pierre, because I think it's fun to watch him steal all those bases, although he doesn't hit any homeruns, I'm always rooting for him to steal 2nd or 3rd

  7. Troy Glaus

  8. He's not necissarily my favorite player, but I think Jason Kendall's a fantastic catcher. He can throw out almost anybody.

    Brewer fan :)

  9. david wright- because he plays the game Wright, gives max effort every time he takes the field, and is still a fan himself (he grew up a mets fan, and he still watches the home run apple go up every time he takes the trip around the bases at shea! i love that about him- he remembers what its like being a fan and he treats the fans so good because of that- never turns down an autograph or interview!)

  10. Andy Pettitte because my cousins are his neighbor and he's amazing!!

  11. Cubs fan here, but I would have to say David Wright.  The guy is a hitting machine.  He has patience and power.  Plus, he has a great glove.  The guy is intense, and it is evident that he loves to play the game.

  12. ryan braun =]

  13. Brandon Inge-Definition of a ball player, can play anywhere on the field and isn't flashy about it.

  14. Ryan Sweeney. Great player offense and defense. Has a lot of heart and dedication. He's a great player and seems like a nice person =]

  15. Michael Young, right now.

He doesn't get much recognition, especially this year with Josh Hamilton, Milton Bradley, and Ian Kinsler as his teammates.

I just think that Young's solid and consistent, and he's one of the more clutch players I've seen.

He always has a good attitude, plays hard, and respects teammates, fans, coaches, his managers, and the umpires. =)

Plus he and his wife do lots of charity work.

All time it's gotta be Cal Ripken Jr.  He came to play hard, every day, for 2,632 consecutive games.

He revolutionized the shortstop position and proved that taller guys can play shortstop and was great defensively and offensively.

He always stayed after games, often for hours, to sign autographs for fans, both at home and away.

And he's a HOF Class of 2007... I was there for the induction ceremony! =)

  16. Jose Reyes but all time has to be Mike Piazza

  17. Brian Roberts. I really liked how he played the game and I heard about what a nice guy he was off the field.

  18. ken griffey jr

    best in the world

  19. i think Ichiro Suzuki because of the amazing stats he has put up consistently throughout the years. I think his first year in MLB was one of the best first seasons for a player ever. He came from Japan and immediately was able to adjust to the new pitching styles and other factors. He has never had a "bad" year and the majority of his seasons in MLB are better then they were when he played in Japan (which some people compare to Double or Triple A)  Every year he has put up 200+ hits, 100+runs, 30+SB,  and a average always over 300. People knock him cause his power numbers but he is a lead off hitter so his main job is to get on base and score runs. Another is his superb defense (has won a gold glove every year), the guy only has at the most 3 errors every season and has a cannon of a arm. I know guys like Alex Rodriguez are more popular because the home-run hitters will always be more popular but for what this guy has done it's just amazing.

  20. Mike Piazza because of what he did for the Mets. In 1999 he carried a struggling, third place team to the wild card, from there he carried them to the NLCS to fight it out in seven games, but unfortunately lose. In 2000 he carried a struggling, third place team to the wild card, from there he carried them to the World Series to fight it out in six games, but unfortunately lose. Although he wasn't that great when it came to pickoff throws to second he was a master of plays at the plate, he had a clutch bat, and broke many hitting records while playing for the Amazins'. One of those hitting records being most Home Runs as a catcher. That is why Mike Piazza is my favorite baseball player.

  21. Jon Garland- LA Angels of Anaheim

  22. Chase Utley because he is a great ball player

  23. Nick Markakis....he is greek god. Got to go home town

  24. Reggie Willits!!   Go Angels!!  Reggie is a great ball player, when given the chance to play. He isnt a powerhitter, but sure can bunt and get on base. He has AMAZING speed, and is a great fielder. He plays every position in the outfield. Unfortunatly he is on the DL right now, and doesnt get a lot of playing time when he is on the active roster due to the crowded Angels outfield, but he is a great new player. I love him!

PS: hes also a great guy in person!

  25. Michael Phelps because he is the Water God.
