Who is your favorite rapper turned actor and why?

well i could say will smith b/c he's the most successful and from my home town of philly and the most successful, but since i know many will say him, i will say my second favorite, LL Cool J. he's surprisingly good and natural and even has comedic timing. if you haven't seen him in the movie Mindhunters you should check it out.

i have to go w/ ludacris. he was amazing in both the movie crash and on tv's law and order  SVU and speaking of that show how can we forget a/b ice t. one of the first rappers to become an actor.

I like Will too, He always kept his raps clean so kids could listen and hhonestly seems to be a really nice respectful man, who is devoted to his wife and kids.

Personally, there's no other rapper that has held his own other than Will Smith....and he wasn't that great as a rapper. Maybe for the Disney crowd. But his acting came around in a hurry. He's a natural, a money maker. DMX is terrible. TuPac was decent, basically because he was so full of himself and that's the type of characters his agent looked for. Method Man and Red Man are just silly and a pain to sit through. Dr. Dre is OK when he does quick bit parts. And I almost forgot...Ice Cube. If Will Smith is a 10, then Cube is definitely a 9. But after those 2 there's a big gap. Ice-T? ....slow painful torture....
