  1. I love Jay too!  I'm really mad at NBC for replacing him with that weird Conan O'Brian.  I won't watch it when he takes over...

First Johnny now Jay...and they're going to ruin it with a very unfunny goofy little leprechaun.  I can say that, I'm Irish too.

  2. TYRA BANKS

  3. Merv Griffin

  4. Sean Hannity

  5. Tom Snyder

  6. Ellen,, she is quite funny and likable.

She is never mean or vulgar, and truly seems interested in what her guests have to say. She can hold a conversation with just about everybody and there never is a lull or boring interview.

  7. Tyra now, but the best ever was Johnny Carson. Dr. Phil is huge at the retirement home I work at.

  8. Ellen

  9. I have no favorite now.  But my favorites from the past were Virginia Graham and Jack Parr.  Because they had a lot of good guests. like Judy Garland and Renee Taylor.  But the funniest talk show host will always be Steve Allen.

  11. Morton Downy Jr. .............  NOT !!!!!!!!!!!

  12. oprah

  17. Merv Griffin. I wa a guest on his show and found him to be a warm

    friendly host.

  18. Ellen. While she doesn't deal with real issues, and we have enough of that, she's hilarious. I love the dancing she does in the beginning.

  19. Then :  Mike Walsh, Australian TV in the 70s and 80s.  I think he owns a theatre now.

Now :  Rodney Olsen, Sonshine fm, West Oz Radio.  He has a great range of guests, speaks straight from the heart and 'HE talks to me,  HE talks to me [ through Rodney ] '.

  20. Preface with : I am not an expert on this. I still think Walter Conkrite kept my interest the longest. LOL Mostly I surf through and listen a bit here and there.

I like this Jeff Furgeson fella cause he does his own script. It is impromptu and there is a mix of his roots and his presentation here in the states.

  21. I'm not much on talk shows. I like Oprah, Ellen and Dr. Phil, but it depends on what the subject matter is. I get bored with Springer-style cr@p, which Dr. Phil is getting more and more like.

Ellen is always fun. Oprah is informational, but not always something I want to learn about. I love her when Dr. Oz is on.

  22. talk show-Oprah

  23. I agree with Wyomugs.

  25. Mine is a tie. George Noory and Art Bell (Art isn't on, but I still like him). George is host of a show called "Coast to Coast AM", heard nationwide from 10pm to 5 or 6 am. Check your local listings. He is always polite to his callers; something alot of them are not (like Bill Handel and John and Ken) All on KFI talk radio AM 640. I LOVE TALK RADIO!!!!

  26. Sorry to say I don't have a favorite talk show host anymore.  I loved Johnny Carson, but since he left, I don't watch talk shows anymore. He was the greatest!

  27. Wendy William's!!she is amazing!!

    CJ

  30. Daytime - Rachael Ray because she talks to people while she cooks.  More interesting than just sitting and talking.

Night - Jay Leno on the Tonight Show.

  31. one of the ones I used to enjoy ,unfortunately , He's gone to satellite radio .The thing I liked about him was  the variety of topic's, every thing from politics to guns , motorcycles, pickup trucks and women. He never abused his callers, as some of the other hosts do. Liddy was always  a gentleman and would discuss your hypotheses in a logical thoughtful manner no matter how radical it was.

the problem with Rush, Sean and Glenn is you get the same old drumbeat of politics all the time and while I agree with most of what they have to say ,a person needs a little variety sometimes.

Just a random note . Am I the only one that thinks Liddy was the inspiration for the Commander Flagg character on M.A.S.H.
