  1. Well, it's my Brother.  He's 4 years older than me and when I was growing up and I was feeling nervous about any new things coming up, like going to middle school, going to high school, going to college, I looked to him for comfort.  I used to think, if my brother can do it, so can I!

He also has worked really hard to get where he is and to get what he wants, and he shows me that if you work hard, you can persevere.  I owe the fact that I work hard to be where I am to him.

My brother also is in Iraq right now in the Army as a Captain (I'm so proud!) and I worry about him a lot.  He's doing fine but I miss him so much even though I never got to see him since before that he was in Germany and I live in the US... I did get to visit him when I was in Europe to study abroad, and he showed me a great time!  I can't wait until he is safe again!

    And who is yours??

We see that you are in the negative points this week. [10:25]

oh Praise be to our LORD! [13:16]

may God always protect us, guide us, forgive us and bless us. [Al-Fatiha]

p.s. we think that you are a good role model.  Peace, Love and Blessings back to you! [42:53].[47:3].[An-Nas]

    SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi!

    lol

  3. Certainly Muhammad (sa) was the best and most perfect role model.

As far as living role models go, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba), the 5th Khalifa to the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi (as) is my role model.

A beautiful person, he leads tens of millions of Muslims to peace and unity be emodying the true teachings of the Qur'an to perfection.  I have learned patience, tolerance, and strength from him.  He provides hope that Allah does love mankind, as Allah has given us Khilafat, and that mankind will insha'allah once again unite in peace and brotherhood.

Indeed he is a perfect role model.  A picture of him is below.  Standing next to him is Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper.

love for all, hatred for none

  4. My older brother even though he's 20 and I'm 19 ... we've always been close and during hard moments (i know i'm young but i've been through really hard moments , more than what you would think sadly) and he's been my rock. he's always been there, always tried to pick me up when I fell, defended me when i needed, let me grow up alone too, cared for me when my parents couldn't, he's just a great guy who's loved by most people around us and who wold do anything for someone he loves. He's also very funny, outgoing and sensitive even though he shows a tough guy appearance.

Like me , he's been through hard times, but always got up and is trying to do his best to please him and everyone else.

He taught me so many things and I know he'll keep on doing it. We share many of our thoughts so he helps me and I try to do the same. As he's a guy and I'm a girl, he gives me advice on guys and I do the same about girls for him...

So yeah my brother is my role model :) and my best friend!

  5. This isn't meant to be funny but:

    Prophet Ibrahim.

I learned how to smash things the same way he smashed the idols.

    Seriously.

And oh yeah, I can't forget Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the one who has taught how to act like real people.

  6. Muhammad (pbuh)

  7. my father.

hes done alot for us to be here.

i love him more then life itself.

  8. First and for most I would have to say; Kathrine Hepburn. She was so simple and firm. No nonsense type of woman. Like for an example...If you still hold on to all your resentments or guilt's, she would say; "Tisk-Tisk dear, you just have to get on with it".  She was always happy and had so much wisdom to me.

Then there was my Mother and Mother-n-law. Both women never took sides in a family argument. Their wisdom was also so awesome. They also was very protective of their young. Love the power they ind welled.

Then there was my Older Sister. She was the one who planted the seed in my head about our Lord Jesus Christ as our savior. The best gift of love ever given to me..

  9. I dont have a role model...I mean I have people that I admire but when someone says role model, to me it implies elevating the person to a very high standard, as if that person has no flaws.

So while I have people whose qualities I admire i.e. my parents, a few historical people, I dont consider them role models...I dont try to emulate them or pretend they are flawless...

Tell me that made sense lol

  10. Honestly my mom is my role model. My father was an alcoholic and an abuser and after my  mom divorced him he stalked us and terrorized us, broke car windows, cut phone lines, etc.  When we told her about the abuse she immediately got me and my siblings into counseling so we could learn it wasn't our fault.  She protected us from that lunatic and taught  me how to be a survivor and how to be strong.  There were times she just wanted to kill him and she knew she had family that would take care of us if she went to prison, but she knew our lives would be worse without her.  She has taught me so many lessens in life and because of that I've become the strong, independent, wise person I am today who has been able to pass these skills on to my son.

  11. Nusaybah, radiallahu anha, the muslim woman warrior is my idol.

I learned from the history of her, that Muslim woman are in fact not oppressed, and that a muslim woman can defend herself, and her family in a righteous cause.

She was a mother, a believer, a nurse (nursing the wounded), a warrior; a defender of Islam. And of course she probably was so much more.

  12. Muhammad ibn Abdullah (PBUH) and being a female, the wives of the prophet PBUH..especially khadija and aisha (RA)

I have learnt the correct way to live my life in order to please Allah inshaAllah.

  13. Paul McCartney. I have learn't all his songs on my guitar.

Not much Beatles fans in this section is there?

Or am I getting thumbs down because I never said Muhammad?

  14. I do not have one..never had one;-)

  15. My sister..hehehe....well she has taught me to beat people up when they say c**p to me...no, jk, honestly, she teaches me to be calm and think things thru b4 getting so upset and she is also very nice to random people, which I think is very sweet of her. She is dedicated, polite, and hard-working, and I think some it has rubbed off on me.

:-) But sometimes she thinks I have lost it when I crack myself up with my own jokes.

    :-p
