  4. Good question.  We've done this a few times before but why not do it again.   I list, IMO, the greatest 3 in each major division then over all.

    Heavyweight

    Muhammad ALi

Larry Holmes (Edges Lennox Lewis who is 4th)

Ezzard Charles and Gene Tunney were the best but they never won the title at 175 so the list begins AFTER them.

  15. this is is an easy one to answer

Sugar ray Robinson-he is regarded by most boxers as the greatest pound for pound boxer of all time(the pound for pound title was actually created because of him), his game had no flaws,he possessed the perfect combination of defense, footwork, power, speed, resilence and skill, his jabs and hooks were deadly and he was one of the few fighters that had the abilty to punch from almost any angle and still land solid punches, he was an inspiration to many boxing legends and he laid the blue print for everything that a boxer should be.

Mohammed Ali - One of the fastest heavyweights ever in his prime, he possessed superior foot work and good knock out power, he was a smart fighter (even though he was a little unorthodox) whose stamina and toughness were only surpassed by his will to win, he fought against some of the greatest heavyweights of all time (foreman,frazier,norton,liston,patterson... and more) and managed to beat them all, he is the only two time undisputed heavy weight champion and in considered by popular acclaim (and by himself lol)to be the greatest heavy weight of all time.I think he has earned that title.

Marvin Hagler- One of the most underrated fighters I have ever seen,He is widely regarded as the greatest middleweight of all time and finished his career with a record of 62-3-2 with 52 knockouts.like Robinson, hagler was a very fluid boxer, who possessed both power and skill and a very tough chin, for seven years he dominated the middleweight division defeating every opponent that came his way and giving boxing some the most classic fights ever (the "war" against Hearns and the battle with Duran, as well the fight against Mugabi) and then lost his title in a controversial decision against Leonard, yet even Sugar Ray Leonard admits that Hagler was the greatest middleweight champion he had ever seen. Anyone who looks at his accomplishments would agree with me.
