Who issues your passport? Washington? or where u were born? i need to put it on my visa application?

Who issues your passport? Washington? or where u were born? i need to put it on my visa application but it asks Passport issued by? im not sure if u should put washing being that is where they give them or your town that u were born in. or the courthouse you went to apply for it..

  1. On the page of your passport with your personal information (name, birth date, etc) it will have an entry "Issued by" and there you will be able to see where your passport was issued. They are not all issued in Washington - there are passport centers throughout the U.S. that issue passports. It will NOT be the courthouse where you applied.


  2. The government of the nationality of a person issues the passport and it is not where a person lives.

  3. For Visa application Passport issued by United States of America.
