these people keep calling and then hanging up - i can;t find any phone number on any website - help!!

Don't phone it back, it's likely to be one of those rip off numbers where they charge you £15 a second or something. Don't worry about it, if it's important then they will contact you again.

Put the number in yahoo search engine and it should  bring you to  a web of numbers that keep calling.

Its a call centre that uses an automated dialler, they call lots of people at once and the last person to answer gets cut off.

Call them and tell them you want you number removed. if your worried it may charge the call to you use a pay phone so you don't get charged a large amount to your phone bill.

call your phone company and ask them they will tell you, you can also ask them to put a block on the number so that this person cannot call you!

ring them back and start doing the same, see if they like it! they obviously are not clever enough to do 141 before hand!

contact BT  they will tell you to register the nuisance callers bureau  let them do it dont panic they are wasting there money , i get this all the time with my internet phone i registered with the BT bureau and they traced the call eventually i told BT to change my phone number  and they did. sometimes you can get people like hackers trying to pry into your affairs so thats why i usually hand no phone number over when i do surveys etc.i put N/A then they think i am not on the phone but i am and its x directory
