    If you think about there was really no reason for him to kill Lincoln, well not that i know of, because what i remember from american history he died a day or two after he shot Lincoln.

    So i feel that he killed him for nothing or because he was a crazy  confederate. i'm not quite sure.

  11. Booth, a confederate sympathizer shot Lincoln 4 days after the Civil War ended. Lincoln was shot in the theater where Booth sometimes acted.  Booth gained access to the presidential box because he was a friend of the owner of Ford's Theater. Booth himself was shot and killed 12 days after he shot Lincoln.

    In 1864, Booth planned to kidnap Lincoln, but that plan was changed to murder after Lee surrendered to Grant at Appomatix Courthouse.
