I dont know if anyone else has asked about this, but I just saw the video on Youtube of Tony Pena Jr. (arguably the worst hitter in the Majors) striking out Ivan Rodriguez.

He should definately be moved to the bullpen. That was a nasty curveball and 91 MPH heat.

  1. Ya, he looked pretty good on the mound and he would be a pretty good fielding pitcher if he decided to pitch.  He's a great fielder as it is, and if he could harness that as a pitcher he would be a valuable weapon.  I could see him being their "secret weapon" if they need someone to save their bullpen for an inning.

  2. haha I am glad to see the Royals having some fun in a 15 run blow out

That was some good pitching by him

  3. He couldn't be a worse as a regular pitcher than he is a hitter.

  4. Well in desperate times,  desperate thing happen, Well good for him he pitched and did okay as a position player, but striking out Pudge was bitter Sweet, sweet - Pudge is a future HOF and bitter his team got their @ss kicked

  5. Nothing like doing anything to  get into the game. It just shows how athletic some players are.

  6. That fan with the scorecard scared me......he did have some nasty pitches and if he continues to hit like this....you never know! Crazier things have happened!

    Are you retired or not?

  7. Who knows?  You may get your wish the way the Royals are playing.......God Bless George Brett on the 25th anniversary of the pine tar game!!
