  1. If your spelling is off just a little this is linear alcohol ??? right...??? well its a molecule that in itself can generally be considered to be some form of oxylate  or sulfate either way its an additive to soap to help in the smell such as sodium lauryl sulfate and this will help the salt make the soap and water break the surface tension. In other words it makes the water thinner so it will break down organics better...her is a super link to that...
