There is no secret magic website with the "cheapest" tickets.  Do the research by checking the travel sites like Airgorilla, Expedia, and Priceline.  Also check the airline sites as the travel sites do NOT always have the best deals.

Remember that some airlines (JetBlue, Southwest) do not sell tickets via the travel sites and you have to check their own websites.

You don't say when you want to travel, or for how long, and those factors matter a lot. Be as flexible as you can regarding travel dates when searching for fares.

I have almost always found the cheapest tickets on the airline's own websites. So check all the airlines that fly from New Orleans to Montreal.  You may find the cheapest flights are to Toronto, and you can make separate arrangements to get from Toronto to Montreal - there are lots of flights on that route.  Best of luck with it.
