  1. no but that would be cool! i wish i could be done with high school next year! lol

  2. Okay, wait a second.

FAFSA is for college. Finishing 4 years of high school in 2 years means most likely being 14 for most of the first year and 15 for the second year. I don't see what you would be filled out a FAFSA application at 13 when you haven't even begun high school.

Yes, if you are a strong student and work hard, you can finish your 4 years of high school in 2 years. And I haven't heard anything about 13yo homeschoolers going to college.

  3. Will that 13 year old be graduating from high school this year? Usually financial aid is only awarded to those who have graduated from high school.

You can graduate from high school early by completing all the courses quickly or by incorporating college courses while in high school. Typically, a one semester college course is equivalent to one year of a high school course in that subject.

  4. There's a girl in our homeschool group who completed high school requirements with a local charter school in 2 years and graduated at 16. They gave her high school credit for some coursework she had done in 8th grade including Algebra, Writing, and Literature. The school is Ocean Grove Charter School:

  5. no, but i know a relative of mine finished high school home school in a year

  6. Not sure what an FAFSA is, but I'm homeschooled, and I'm graduating a year early, so I finished highschool in three years.

  7. If you're looking at FAFSA then you must have finished ALL 12 years of schooling in 7!

If you're that good, you should be able to fill out the form with no problem.

    Have a college picked out?

It's not unusually there is this 10 year old kid at Bejing University in a Math Major and he finds college work too easy.

  8. Our daughter finished her program in two years with exception of one course which she choose to drop.

Because she is/was pretty young (16), she decided to go to work for a year before officially graduating, and looking for a college that she may like to attend.

I only know of one, or two home schoolers who took college classes at a local community college, but they were still in the process of finishing their high school program, and these classes were electives.

Are you planning to attend college now?

Even if you could handle this academically, are you, and your parents sure it would be a wise choice for you socially, and emotionally?

  9. I don't know if that's possible...at least where I live.  I'm doing high school in 3 years which is kinda close though :)
