I just heard this whole story of Planet X or Planet Nibiru and I was wondering of anyone knew anything about it and if anyone thought it was real or not....

  1. A theoretical star farther than pluto that's orbiting our sun

  2. Planet X is the tenth planet (ergo the X).  Recent discoveries of planet sized rocks within our solar system have somewhat destroyed the theory that there are only 9 planets orbiting our sun.  Much is said about the planet that hasn't been seen, it's easy to say that it doesn't exist, but how would anybody know?  That's like saying that politician's don't lie.  I can't really comprehend anything other than a circular orbit, but that's not my thing, so I leave that to the stargazers.  If planet X is surrounded by a dust could, then it is very very very possible that such a body does exist and simply cannot be seen!  NASA spend trillions of dollars searching for distant galaxies, and chooses to completely ignore near space objects that may even present a threat to this planet.  Once again, tax payers money just been wasted.  We probably now have the technology to deflect any life threatening object approaching earth, but still the world's telescopes endlessly search deep space for stars that will never be anything more than a name for a very few people on this planet.  Governments actually act to prevent searches for near space objects.  Planet earth suffers extinction level asteroid bombardments every 32 to 33 million years.  The last one was 33 million years ago.  And still the earth's telescopes look for distant galaxies, that will never be anything more than a name for.........

The Mayans suggested 2012 was significant.  The South American Incas allowed themselves to be slaughtered without resistance by the Spanish.  I find this curious.

  3. I know more about Planet X than I do about any other planet discovered to date.  It's easy.  There's only one fact to know: it doesn't exist.  That pretty much cuts down on the details.

  4. I was told in my astronomy class that it was not a planet, but a asteroid. The rock was too small for a planet.

  5. idk-destiny

  6. Nibiru is very real, but it is no planet x, because we have known it ever since man first looked up into the night sky. Its the brightest object in the night sky second to the moon.... its an ancient name for Jupiter, and we all know Jupiter is real!

But the whole idea about a brown dwarf orbiting the sun every 3600 years is just silly. That planet x is not real. But Jupiter is obviously real!

  7. Nibiru does not exist. BUT scientists call the next found planet X. X is used untill a name is given the planet. Pluto was planet X for a short while (while looking for it). Several planetoids have been refered to as X and when the next new one is found it will be named X untill a name is picked for it. NOW if you find a New Planetoid, and if you can get it named Nibiru, then we will have a planetoid Nibiru.

  8. no such thing

  9. Planet X is simply a planet that hasn't been discovered yet in our solar system.

  10. There is no known Planet X or 10th planet in our solar system. Scientists have been looking for about a hundred years. It was believed that such a planet was required to explain the orbital characteristics of the outer planets Uranus and Neptune. Many searches have been performed and, to date, no evidence of such a planet has emerged.

  11. It is just more nonsense. Some morons have connected it to the dumb 12/21/12 doomsday c**p.

  12. Nibiru does not exist!

It is just a myth which mysteriously propagates (mostly because of the History Channel and YouTube)

If Nibiru did we would have found it by now. We have mapped the sky in the infrared several times in the last 25 years (including WMAP, IRAS etc), and it would show up. It is not there. We would have found it if it existed. So all the nonsense about the return of Nibiru/Planet X is just that – nonsense

There is no scientific evidence for the existence of Nibiru

Furthermore, at the distance it must be to hit us in a little over 4 years, it would be reflecting enough light from the sun to be detectable.

Thanx to previous question from Brant and answer from bikenbeer2000, we know how bright it should be by now – it would have a apparent magnitude of 7.4 – which would not be visible with the naked eye – but easily visible in a modest telescope and would have been spotted by amateur. If there was a conspiracy to keep it quiet – it would be out of the bag by now.

Ask someone where it is supposed to be, get a pair of binoculars and look for it.

The videos on YouTube that purport to have evidence are disingenuous to say the least. They put together pictures of other objects (e.g. Jupiter, comets even a dust shell around a distant red giant star) and try to scare people. There is no validity to their claims. They present NO EVIDENCE at all.
