Who knows about the SMART grant?

I just changed my major to biology, this fall will begin my 4th year of college. in the spring, I'm enrolling in an allied health program for medical technology, which is a bachelor of science degree.

my gpa is 3.44. I have already been awarded a pell grant for the 08 09 school year for $2800 dollars (about)

I guess what i'm asking is, should I be eligible for the smart grant even though I *just* changed my major? It was psychology before.

Also, should I talk to my financial aid officer at school and tell them that i changed majors and am now eligible? or should they figure it out on their own?

  1. Well, if you aren't sure if you qualify or not you should definitely check with your financial aid officer. They are the masters of the subject after all.
