Who knows anything about Quails??

Question

I found what I think is a baby quail on the side of the road, I think it was hit by a car but it seems alright. It's leg is hurt it can move it though but not stand on it. What should I feed it and how?? We have this grass that has seeds on it would it eat that? I dont think the mother will take it anymore since I thought I saw a mother in a nearby field. I plan on trying to raise it until it is old enough to go into the wild if possible. What should I do?

All you need to feed it on s ordinary bird seed mixed with some chick crumbs,you should be able to get these from any pet store,also if you can give it any insects such as spiders, worms ,etc.

Seeding grasses are a good source of food for it,don't forget some water.

These will all be good rearing food

The mother would call if it had heard the chick,but now you have"Rescued it" you have the responsibility of looking after it .

As it has a damaged leg it may not have survived in the wild.
