a friend died in 22/07 and only be burreid in 28/07 , so this time 7 days!

why? for while is normal in Ingland this happen?

Sometimes people have to wait for arrangements to be made, family to get to the location, announcements to be made. These can all take a while.  Religion sometimes plays a role as well.  There are a  few religions that put a cap on the amount of time from  death to burial.

It all depends on these factors.

Some people have their funerals pre-arranged (before they even die) so upon their death, things can be settled pretty quickly - within a few days.  Others simply leave their last wishes with family and the surviving family members have to make funeral arrangements: pick out a casket or an urn, schedule the service with the funeral parlor or church, and coordinate the time for the burial with the cemetary, have the funeral arrangements listed in the local newspaper, etc. - and pay for all of this stuff.  This can take several days of hard work to get all arranged.

My Mom passed away on April 17th and she was cremated, so we had an urn with her ashes in it to bring home with us (which don't even have to be buried, or can be buried whenever, it's not the same as the body being in a casket) - then we ordered a headstone and scheduled a date for burial at the cemetary, my nephew and I being ordained ministers worked together for a few evenings on writing the ceremony and planning what we would use for flowers, music, etc.  Then trying to pin down a day when the cemetary could schedule us in to dig the grave for us so we could hold our service - and on a day when all of the family members who wanted to attend would be able to - wasn't an easy task.  All in all - by the time we got everything arranged and ready - the burial service was held on June 14th.

In England it just takes about 7 days to find the right time.

If it happens during a Bank Holiday then it could take 2 weeks, just depends on different things.

Sometimes you will need an enquiry into a sudden death and this will also take more time.
