Who knows how to isolate the main active components of banaba (Lagerstroemia speciosa)?

I really need it. Please help me. If you know some sites where I can get the method in extracting.isolating the main active components of Banaba, please give it to me thru your answer. thank you so much.

well, taking a leaf from extracting any active ingredient from plants,

firstly you would crush the plant to break the cell walls and release the ingredients.

then mix with solvent

filter to remove material

then purify by adding a solvent that only dissolves the active ingredient

then evaporate the other solvent, till you are left with the drug

then do a chromotography test for purity

sorry about the specifics: i do not know what are the active ingredients, or solvents to specifically dissolve the main thing (however, it might be an organic solvent)
