Who knows the price of a green iguana and the price of a bearded dragon at petco????

Question

I dont know which one to decide on i recently owned an iguana so i have a 6 foot wide 8 foot tall enclosure for one....... and i can just buy a 55 gallon tank for a bearded dragon

If I were you I would not go to petco.  Go to a breeder or a reptile specialty store.  They really know how to take care of your reptile and they put warranties on them in case they get sick or end up with mites.

Bearded dragons and green iguanas are very similarly priced at PETCO.  Both are 50-70 dollars depending upon the location.  The reptiles aren't interchangeable.  Iguanas are vegetarians, require heat, humidity and plenty of climbing space.  Your current enclosure is fine for an iguana.

A juvenile bearded dragon can be housed in a 20 gallon long tank, but you'll need a tank that is at least 6 feet long for an adult.  A 55 gallon long tank really isn't big enough.  Bearded dragons require UVA and UVB lighting.  You'll also need to provide a basking area  on one end that is 95F - 110F and a cool end of 75F - 85F.  The proper bulbs for a bearded dragon cost about as much as the reptile (50-70 dollars) and you'll need to replace them every 8-12 months.  Bearded dragons require live feeder insects and salads.

Both reptiles make good pets.  Personally, I think beardies are easier to care for and are easier to handle.

get a bearded dragon.... i want one right now so bad :) but i have too many animals :( last time i checked, the bearded dragons were almost $100 and the iguanas were only like $40

What you dont say is what happened to the iguana that you recently owned.

Depending on where you live will depend on the price. What I've seen Green Iguanas and Bearded Dragons cost ruffly $30-$50 (US Dollars).

Bearded Dragons and Iguanas need different enclosures and different foods. Please read and find out which is best for you. I or nobody else will be taking care of whichever for you.

I wouldn't get either from a pet store. Check out http://www.petsmartcruelty.com/ (covers petco too). Try a reptile show instead. I got my iguana for $10 & a bearded for $25, & WAY healthier than any pet store.
