Unless you're studying a way to kill them all, who cares?  It's not like there's a 'useful' mossi that doesn't either suck your blood or spread diseases.

It could be a tiger mosquito. Their larva eat the larva of other mosquitos, so they are often bred and released into areas with mosquito problems. They generally reduce total mosquito numbers 80-90%
