i hate apa!!!--played it for one season ---(we came in second regionally)---mark your pocket???---the handicap rules suxx--i don,t mind handicaps-but -apa way--makes it take waaaaaay to long to finish one match!!!---mark down every stroke a player makes???---hysterical!!!!------bca leagues are much better--and bca rules are what the pros play by!!!-----that should read --bca leagues!!--bar rules are alright --but too many opportunities for an argument

You mean the American Pool association?

I am Canadian I have played the CPA the Canadian version...I didn't like some of the rules...like my captain can call a time out in my game whether I need one or not...I guess I was just bitter because I was going to win the game & he wanted my rating to be low so I was to miss the dead on shot so there were more innings. I like the race aspect and the ball in ahd rules are always great for a chess match game. so I guess all in all they are not bad.

I prefer "bar rules" pool:  call your shot; name the number of banks; if you plan to use a combo-shot; call your pocket.

That way, there's absolutely no "slop" involved.
