Question:

Who likes Born Free bottles?

We switched to Born Free bottles after the BPA scare. I find them so annoying. They drip and spill and "dream-feeding" is a nightmare thanks to the nipples always collapsing. Does anyone else have the same problem, or am I doing something wrong?

  1. I also have the born free bottles. Mine don't leak or drip. My daughter loves them (she's 5 weeks). I do find they're pretty expensive, especially the Born free bottle sterilizer. But these bottles are so easy to clean, putting them together is a snap, and the flow of the milk is just perfect for her.

I don't "dream feed" tho so I wouldn't know... My doc told me not to, because that would cause teeth decay later on...???  No idea?

  2. We use them and love them, no drips or problems with nipples.  Make sure you have the nipple pulled all the way through so they do not leak, also close the bottle tight but not too tight, it can cause the milk to come to fast.  The nipple could be collapsing if you don't have the valve system in right too - make sure both the plastic and silicone parts are put together all the way and then put all the way down into the bottle opening.

  3. i found them to leak a lot. never like them. and the nipple sizes were annoying. when i started using them, the size 2 was too small and the 3 was too big -- maybe those are the wrong numbers. all i know is the step from one to then next was too big.  i missed my dr. browns. those bottles were my fave.
