Question

Nice food, nice people...nice weather. Would anybody like to came and live here?

I'm italian and i think Italy is a nice place but sometimes people would live in Italy because of the good food or something like that but the don't know the problems of this country... and trust me.. there's big problems now in Italy... i think that if you want to live in Italy you can do that but you have to choose the right place like big cities like Milano, Venice, Roma... because your life here can be more simply than small cities...

I love Italy!! I lived in San Ferdiando di Puglia, FG with a Host family for 26 days and i loved it!!

Yeah!  I've been wanting to move to Italy for a while...well maybe Switzerland. I'm Swiss-Italian.  My family is from a town right on the border.  I took some Italian and I'd really love to have a chance to use it.  My dream would be to live in some little town, but I might have to save that for later in life unfortunately.

I have been to Italy. It was the most beautiful country I have ever been to in my life.  People were nice and helpful. Food were superb. I can't say enough how much I love this country and the people.

i've lived in the province of salerno for the last 3 years

it has it's ups and downs...

lack of work or wprking for low pay is a big downer

Well the crime rate is high, you know why,

Italian can do crime and then confess to Pope, and sins are removed. Then keep the money for the mother, wife, daughters.. it's OK

And death penalty doesn't scare us. We almost get accident everyday.

I lived in Milan for 10 years and I think it is one of the best places in the world to live!

I guess I'll end up going back there because I don't think I'll ever find any place I'd rather live!

I've lived in Italy for 3 years. I like the weather, I like the food (that which doesn't have pork derivatives in it (I live in Emilia Romagna, the pork capital of the universe), I like the countryside, where it's not strewn with rubbish, and I like the architecture, where it's not covered in graffiti. What I don't like is the insular and prejudiced attitude of a lot of the people here. I am English but of mixed (unknown) ethnicity. If I say I'm English, from England, that's what I mean, but Italians have to keep asking me, "where are your parents from?" "Where are your grandparents from?" I say England, because they are, so why don't Italians accept that? Just because I don't give the answer they want or expect, doesn't mean it's not the right one!! Although I'm multlingual and have a Masters degree, they all think I've just arrived on a banana boat from some developing nation where education is non-existent. Italians think I'm a cleaning lady or look after old people, when in fact I'm a gold and silversmith and part time translator. They treat me like c**p over here just because of my colour and I have to be self-employed because the only jobs for foreigners and especially for people of colour are the ones Italians are too idle to do themselves!

I would! I loved Italy when I was there as an exchange student. Italy was sooo good to me! I came back to the States pretty spoiled. I don't know if I would stay there forever though, I am the restless type- I need to travel.

I absolutely LOVED Italy when I visited, I was very sad when I had to leave.

But I would love to go there again and spend a month or so there.  Not sure if I could leave my home to live there, but it definitely is a beautiful place.
