Two of the biggest promoters in the sport - Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions are fighting over him in court. Not many Mexicans like him though because he's beaten 3 of their top fighters.

Manny is the man. I love to watch him fight. He is a predator stalking his prey with his dynamite punching power. It should be illegal for a small guy like that to hit so hard!!! Incredible power.

I like Manny. He fights with all heart. He reminds me of Rocky Balbao on Rocky 1 and 2. Not a great skilled fighter but a fighter that fights with all heart. Him being filipino has nothing to do with that as well. He brings excitement to the sport.

Me. Even if they criticize his questionable defense and his-less than-technical style of boxing, He always fights all-out. Pure heart this guy has, never backs down from a brawl and always electrifies the crowd. Truly a worldclass prizefighter, boxing needs more Pacquaio's. More power to you Manny, my fellow countryman!

me, bob arum, larry merchant, hbo, and filipinos. his the most exciting pound for pound boxer in the sport. don't criticize him for not being a technical and fundamental boxer, because what made him famous is his style of brawling and mauling his opponents. counterpunchers like marquez dont really score big on the cards.
