im a native NYer...i love it b/c of the energy, the action, all the possibilities and opportunities available to anyone..i like the melting pot of ppl from all over the world..the food, the shopping, the sites to see..Christmas in Rockefellar Center is like nothing you've ever seen..there is always something to do, the city never closes...if you havent been, u need to go...

I hate everything about New York.  Why?  Because the ego of it being the best place in America when a crappy city should not represent our country.  Small town America should represnt us

I was in New York very recently, and what I can say is that the atmosphere there is absolutely incredible. I was enthralled with every aspect of it. Times Square was my favorite part because there are billboards covering every spare inch there is, and I just love the chaos. Of course, some people don't like that. I adored every second of it.

On the flip side, though, it takes FOREVER to actually get into the city. If you want to go to New York, fly there and walk everywhere. Cars do nothing but slow you down.

I like New York and I haven't even been there. From everything I've read about it, it seems like such a great place (great as in grand, not as in crimeless). I come from a small town in Alaska, so hopefully I'll get to go to a big city like New York.

You can't really evaluate NYC if you've never been there, because from my experience it isn't anything like anywhere else in the US.

The media glamorizes NYC to a high degree, and I guess rightfully so if you're visiting for a few days.  However, living here is an ENTIRELY different story.  NYC is very cold in the winter, everything is expensive, and the people can be uptight at times.

i lived there ten years and i loved it there wish i can go back but hey maybe later soon hopefully but yea if you havent lived there you can't really hype it up or critize it but it's a great place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was born and raised in NYC and lived there for 32 yrs, Having traveled  most of this country i can tell you that there is NO place like the big apple, from culture to food to whatever your looking for, where else can you do a million different things at 3 a.m. if you so desired. the only reason i left there was because i could not afford the property that i have here,if i could i would go back tomorrow.
