Who likes Pigeons? What is the diff.

Pigeons are actually very clean birds. I have worked with them for years. I also have one as a pet. they will not p**p in their cage if they have eggs or young. If they cannot hold it until let out they will hang their behind over ledge and p**p like that. They are messy eaters. they are also cuddly and sweet. As far as carrying diseases they have no more than any other bird. If taken care of properly they are wonderful so are doves. A pigeon is actually called a Rock Dove.

I agree with Beth!  A pigeon makes a much better pet for a child than a parakeet, mouse, or rat.  A single pigeon will really bond with it's owner and offer so much love.  Some are even down right cuddly
