He was an engine builder and crew chief.  I think he was once given the golden wrench  award.

Waddell--kind of a bizarre name though.  My spell check wants to call him waddle (like a duck)

Why?  Just because he was inducted into the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame a couple years ago along with Darrell Waltrip?  What's not to like...then again...what is to like?
