I live in NYC and we don't have 'em here. I am not willing to travel miles for a diner so I have only had their ice cream thanks to visits at the grocery store.

I do like their ice cream since it is better quality then most.

I haven't had Friendly's since a visit to Mountainside, NJ back in 1989. I only went for the ice cream.

Unfortunately, that place closed.

I was born in upstate New York and grew up in Texas. Just about every time I've gone back "home", I've gone to Friendly's - they have the best burgers and shakes anywhere. Of course that's upstate...NYC would probably be more complicated since there's a few more restaurants.
