Gantz is my #2 "favorite" manga series (Berserk being #1).

IMO, the first half of the Gantz Anime was decent, but the story split ending arc shouldn't have been made.  Either way, the manga completely blows the Anime out of the water.  Only portion of the Anime I really enjoyed were some of the songs, as they put a different "in a good way" feel towards the Gantz series

Ex: "Last Kiss" by Bonnie Pink & the shortened TV version of "Super Shooter" by Rip Slyme.

speaking of which I never did read the manga only the show...which the anime ending was kinda bleh =p

But I really like the whole plot of gantz, makes me feel so inferior ^_^

Gantz is indeed one of the best and original manga todays with its unique storyline. It's one of a kind manga I've read so far, but to called it the best manga ever is like calling Naruto is the best manga ever. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I think there's still a better manga out there I haven't get my hand on yet.
