Who likes rodeo/bullriding?

It's an entertaining wild sport. As I watch it I feel for the cowboy riding the bull and how long he can handle the bucking bull.

I love it!!!  Bodacious was one of my favorite bulls.  It always amazes me to see how athletic these huge animals are.  And my god are the guys who get up on their backs, and the "clowns" who protect the bullriders, brave.

One of my favorite things to watch is when there's a break from the action and they play "bull poker."  That's where four guys sit around a table in the middle of the ring and they turn a bull loose.  The last guy to remain sitting wins.  Man, is that something, to watch these guys sweating it out while a bull that weighs close to a ton is snorting and pawing and making feints at them inches away.  

It's just an amazing sport.

iv been rodeoing since i was five i barrel race and i go almost every weekend. so when i watch bull riding i dont feel it so much anymore just cuz im around it all the time but i love the saddle bronc riding!!

Of the rodeo aspect, I'm not a huge fan of calf roping and team roping, cause that's where it's most likely that one of the critters can get hurt.  Other than that, I love rodeos!

Karin C,  thanks for reminding me of bull poker!  It's been so long since I've seen it.  I remember going to the Mesquite Rodeo and I couldn't wait to see bull poker.  Thanks for stirring up those great memories!
