Who likes ruby for a girls name

I like it but it is in this years top 3 names for girls in the UK...that means it will be like Sharon...Jade...etc in 15 years time.

Its a very popular name right now, I know of 4 Ruby's at the moment all of them under the age of 2.  It will be very common in her class at school as well.

Ruby is my name and I really like it. It is getting so popular now though (which is annoying), but luckily I am almost 16 so I won't be in a class with many Rubys. It's also strange that when I was little I wanted personalised things, but shops never had my name on things, and now they do sell Ruby pencils, pads, etc.

Ruby Jean is lovely. I saw a little Ruby-Jean a few years ago.

eeeew no it sounds like a grandmothers name and wont work for her until shes like 60 unless u call her rosemary then u can use that when shes little and when she gets older she can shorten it to rose or rosy :)

Ruby is a very strong name, I think (In a Good Way!!), reminds me of maybe a teenage girl, very dtermined and maybe even headstrong. Knows what she wants and is adventurous. Is sociable and can stand up for herself. But I also think that she is like a gem (Ruby=Jewel) so she would be a very special person!!
