egypt red sea is a really good place to go scuba diving because they have loads of different fish and corals in there and it looks really nice and its clean. it is really cheap in egypt to ive been 3 times now and everything you need over there is really cheap and if u scuva diving you should try egypt youd love it

I like Thailand and the Galapagos islands in Ecuador, they are awesome for scuba diving!!

I actually used this same answer below for a recent scuba post on Yahoo Answers. so here it is again.

First of all keep in mind most everyone will mention the tropics, oceans and so on. Here's my take on that

I'm in the Dive business and have dived caves in Florida, Tropics, Oceans etc.

Personally I prefer the Great Lakes. There are many dive charters that can take you out on 1000s of great lakes shipwrecks dating back to the early 1800s or earlier. Being in fresh/coldwater, many of the wrecks are in pristine condition. These wrecks can be schooners that resemble your traditional "pirate" looking ship, or 700 foot long steel freighters. In addition to shipwrecks there are ancient drowned forests and even former submerged waterfalls from when there was 400 feet less depth to the great lakes.

I would dive the great lakes over the tropics any time. (although the tropics/ocean diving is nice too).
