You will need to ask the Land Registry. You can make an application to see a copy of the register for 2001. I think the LR office which deals with Worcester is Coventry, but if you telephone [phone] and ask for general enquiries, they will tell you. You can make a personal visit to any LR office or apply by post (you can't get historical info over the web). It should cost about £10 to find out.

You can go to the county assessors office either in person or online and look up all the purchases and the list of who has owned your house before you. You can also see how much they paid.

Maude and Cedric Spottiswoode lived there between 1961 and 2001. Maude, now 87, moved to a retirement home after Cedric died of a stroke, aged 83. Their dog, Ginger, was taken in by the Worcester Dog Welfare trust. Before retirement, Cedric managed a betting shop and launderette and Maude had a part time job in a bakery.
