Who looks at the Trademark Gazette?

Are there lawyers that look for oppositions? And then consult the appropriate entity/individual? Or is it entities that constantly keep their eyes open for new trademarks that might infringe?

For those that don't know, when a trademark gets approved by an examiner, it gets published in the Gazette at a specific date , and people have 30 days to oppose (at a fee).

  1. I used to subscribe to the Record Reporter which was similar.  I think i was the only one in the world who read all that stuff.  The lawyers come in later when the "illegitimate" competitor is discovered. /
