Pavel Datsyuk (Detroit Red Wings)
Detroit Red Wings is sitting pretty at the top of the Western Conference, entering the All-Star Weekend and Datsyuk has played a major role in that achievement
The 33-year-old centre from Russia has scored 14 goals and made 39 assists for a mammoth 53 points this season.
Datsyuk will be playing his fourth All-Star game of his career, being named in All-Star teams of 2004, 2008 and 2009, prior to this one.
He missed the last All-Star game but is available for this weekend’s game.
Jordan Eberle (Edmonton Oilers)
The Oilers forward is just into his second season with the franchise, and his form is the only positive thing about the team’s season this year.
Edmonton is second bottom in the Western Conference with a poor 18-26-5 record and with injuries plaguing the roster, the team has been struggling for consistency.
Eberle however, has been brilliant in front, scoring 18 goals this year while making 27 assists for 45 points.
The forward returned from his most recent injury, scoring Oilers' only goal in a 2-1 shootout defeat to San Jose Sharks.
Marion Gaborik (New York Rangers)
Gaborik has been wonderful in front of goal and his scoring sprees have launched Rangers to the top of the Eastern Conference.
The forward will play his third All-Star game on the weekend after being previously named in the 2003 and 2008 rosters.
The Rangers forward is the highest scorer for the conference, scoring 25 goals and making 14 assists for 39 points.
Claude Giroux (Philadelphia Flyers)
One of the most impressive rookies to enter the NHL, Giroux has been wonderful throughout his four years in the league.
This will be the young forward's second All-Star game.
The 24-year-old has had a wonderful 2011 season, scoring 18 goals, but the centre’s number of assists is what marks him out from the rest.
Giroux has made 37 assists so far for a total of 55 points.
Scott Hartnell (Philadelphia Flyers)
While Giroux has been making the assists, Flyers' veteran left winger, Scott Hartnell has been putting those passes into the back of the net.
Flyers' top scorer, Hartnell will be playing his first All-Star game this season after scoring 25 goals and making 19 assists.
It will be great to witness the shaggy haired forward take to the rink for the first time among some of the best in the league.
Marion Hossa (Chicago Blackhawks)
Chicago Blackhawks' forward, Marion Hossa will be playing his career's fifth All-Star game this season.
Hossa had been previously named in 2001, 2003, 2007 and 2008 All-Star rosters.
The veteran forward has scored 22 goals and made 33 assists this year, for a total of 53 points.
His great form has helped Blackhawks keep pace with the top teams in the Western Conference, currently ranked sixth in the Conference.
Jarome Iginla (Calgary Flames)
Calgary Flames' captain, Jarome Iginla has been part of the All-Star game, five times earlier, and will make it six this weekend.
Iginla has been brilliant for Calgary Flames throughout his 14 years with the franchise and this season was no different as the forward scored 18 goals and made 21 assists for a total of 39 points, even though Calgary has struggled for winning runs.
Patrick Kane (Chicago Blackhawks)
Patrick Kane has won the Stanley Cup in his short four-year career and will now have another feat to add to his impressive collection.
The youngster has been named for the first time in the All-Star game roster. Kane scored 11 goals and made 30 assists this season for a total of 41 points.
