The Detroit Red Wings goaltender has had a brilliant season as the franchise enter the All-Star weekend top of the Western Conference with a 33-16-1 record.
Howard who has played 42 out of the 50 games played by the Red Wings this season has been phenomenal with a 30-11-1 record the highest number of victories for any goaltender in the NHL. Howard has not lost a single game over the past six games.

This will be Howard’s first All-Star game. He finished runners up for the Calder Trophy award in 2010.
Brian Elliott (St. Louis Blues)
The St. Louis Blues have the best record at home ice this year and goaltender Brian Elliott’s performances in front of the net are the reason for most of those victories.
The Blues have problems in offence as they fail to score many goals but Elliott’s form ensures that whatever leads they do gain are maintained.
The goaltender has 23 games this season and 15-5-2 record is proof of the goaltenders brilliant form. Elliott has made 570 saves and posted five shutouts which given the low number of games he played is a phenomenal statistic.
The goaltender will take to the All-Star rink for the first time in his career on the weekend.
