Who made the best choice for VP, Obama or McCain?

I don't even think McCain chose Palin, I think some party people chose her for him. But she was a great choice in my opinion.

People could care less about Obama's choice for VP, most people don't even know his name.

Palin has taken media attention from Obama, which is good because I was sick of Obama on the spotlight.

Palin is getting a lot of attention which I think is good for McCain because all attention was on Obama.

Obama can't even criticize Palin for being unexperienced because he's unexperienced as well. Palin stands out, which is something Obama's choice doesn't do.

What do you think?

  1. John McCain

  2. McCain showed Obama the finger and Palin will show him the door.

  3. The fact that Palin is taking all the attention away from McCain speaks for itself. Don't know if it's good or bad.

  4. I agree...she stands out as a real person in touch with the people. Obama ran this campaign on "change" and picks someone who hasn't changed in the last 30 years.

This is why Senators don't often become president....they are usually part of the problem already. Governors make the best presidents, or even former vice presidents.

  5. Are you telling me anyone knew who the h**l Palin was outside of Alaska before she nominated? I mean Biden's name at least meant something to me even if I didn't know all the details of his career, Palin on the other hand I didn't know existed a week ago.

And the reason Palin is getting so much attention is because she is so unqualified to be VP and has so many scandals going on that it is news worthy. In other words, she is only gives the McCain camp bad publicity for the most part.

And Obama was chosen by the people to represent them, and is still alot more qualified to be president then Palin is. But aside from that, you were comparing VP's. Biden is one of the experienced candidates out there, and is a definite asset to Obama, especially his use Biden's experience to help him make good decisions.

Palin on the other hand, adds nothing to the McCain campaign except making the Christian Coalition less restless with John McCain. She is failure of a VP, she won't help him gain votes and she isn't qualified to lead. In fact, the scandals she is involved in might cause McCain to lose.

  6. I would have to say John McCain

Barack Obama made a very very safe pick...

Not only has Palin givin McCain a lot of media attention, but she will get him more evangelical and women's votes...

  7. I will have to say that Obama did. Joe Biden is a senior senator who has  proven record on being great with foreign policy--an we surely need a LOT of that.

  8. Why did h**l did you ask the question if answered it all by yourself????

    Obama picked the best VP!

  9. McCain.  I agree that there's someone else making the decisions for John.  Either way it's going to be a historic election.

  10. I feel like Obama made the better choice.  McCain is a good man in many ways, but the thought of a small town girl with no big government experience operating the nation's military and being leader of it's overblown bureaucracy is a little scary.

  11. obama and i hope he wins anyways ,,,,

  12. Obama picked Biden because he has the experience in foreign affairs he lacks.  I wouldn't doubt that it was a choice encouraged by Nancy Pelosi and her bunch. Mc Cain picked Palin because she embraces what he is about and it doesn't hurt that she is a woman despite what the Democrats think.  I believe that Mc Cain made the better choice because you can't preach change and then ask someone with 35 years of Washington political  experience of the same old thing to be your running mate and expect people to believe it will happen.

  13. You can't make an educated decision without all the facts, especially even if you don't know the other guy's name.

Joseph Robinette "Joe" Biden, Jr.; (born November 20, 1942) is the senior United States Senator from Delaware. He is both the Democratic vice presidential nominee for the November 2008 election and a candidate for re-election in the U.S. Senate.

Born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania for ten years prior to moving to Delaware, Biden trained as a lawyer and became a senator in 1973 at the Constitutional minimum age of 30, making him the fifth-youngest senator in U.S. history. He has served as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, dealing with issues related to drug policy, crime prevention, and civil liberties. He is a long-time member and current chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and has worked on resolutions concerning the Yugoslav wars and Iraq War.

Biden unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and 2008. In his sixth consecutive term in the Senate, Biden has served for the sixth-longest period among current senators.

  14. I don't agree with you. Obama made the best choice for the country, should something happen to him. McCain made the best choice for him personally and didn't care what would happen to the country should something happen to him. As for taking the spotlight away from Obama, that would have happened no matter who he picked because that's the nature of the media.

I'm sorry but being a mayor to a tiny town and an 18 months governor to a low population state does not compare to having experience in the senate where they deal with national issues and she herself admits she doesn't follow what is going on in Iraq. Her educational background is also sorely lacking to understand the nuances of what goes on in national and world politics.

  15. clearly biden is the best choice, i can't believe anyone could ask such a ridiculous question

  16. The woman wanted to be a "stay at home" mom.  She wants to get rid of s*x education and teach abstinence which proved not to work in her own household.  She has 20 months experience, and that's including her being the first mayor of a town too small for one before.  She's over 40 and just got her very first passport.

How is she a good choice?

They picked her to take Hillary's votes, but women are not that stupid.  Women weren't pro-hilliary just because she was a woman.

Biden was a great choice.  To start, he Catholic.  McCain calls catholosism a "cult."  Not to mention a 1000 other reasons he's perfect for the job.

  17. How do you figure Palin is a great choice? There were a number of other Republican women who are far more suitable.  What about Elizabeth Dole? Kay Bailey Hutchinson? Christine Todd Whitman? Even Condoleeza Rice or former HP CEO Carly Fiorina would've been better than that Palin chick...her and her awful anti-environment stances! She's LITERALLY in bed with "big oil" and I find that disturbing.

but I suppose it doesn't matter since I'm voting for Obama/Biden anyway lol
