  1. The Red Sox Getting Jason Bay Becuz Terry Francona Doesn't Have 2 Deal With All Manny Ramirez's ****

  2. If the Manny for Favre deal had gone through, that would have been the one.  But since that didn't get done, I have to say the single best deal was for the Yankees to get Pudge for Farnsworth.

  3. Milwaukee, acquiring CC. That was the missing link in their rotation. With those young bats, watch out.

  4. I think by far the best deal was the Angels getting Texeira for Kotchman. Manny is a rent-a-player, and will not get them into the Series. How did he do in the clutch last night? 6-4-3 double play...

Harden is a great deal, but second to Texeira. Sabathia is great too, but we'll see if he wears out down the stretch.

I am not an Angels fan, but they are the best team in baseball this year, and Texeira only makes them better

  5. MANNY!

  6. Not Farve! They offered him $20 million to stay retired and he declined! What an idiot! He could work with underprivileged kids and teach them football if he loves it so much!

Boston probably made the best deal when they traded Manny-

  7. I agree with LilyBianca. The Yankees have made the best moves. Especially with Wang, Posada, and Matsui being on the DL.

  8. This season?

White Sox when they got Carlos Quentin and Alexi Ramirez for next to nothing

  9. The Brewers who got CC Sabithia

  10. The Brewers, getting CC Sabathia, is the best short term deal.

In the long run, the Yankees getting Nady, Marte and Pudge would have to be considered the winners, although Jason Bay in and The Moron out is a good move for the Red Sucks.

  11. The Yankees, in their acquisitions of Nady, Marte, and Pudge Rodriguez.  They gave up very little and got a LOT.  I don't think any other team even comes close.

Although the Red Sox getting rid of Manny may have helped out a lot of other teams... so maybe they made the best deal for everyone else.  (Just not themselves... lol).

  12. Yankees getting Pudge and Nady because they gave up some players for that trade. The second was probably Manny for Jason Bay.

  13. I do think the Pirates made out very well this trade deadline. They got a lot of major league ready proepects and have finally committed to the rebuild process.

  14. The Cubs made the best deals this year.

Getting Harden and Gaudin for basically 1 good player in Gallagher.

Also the Cubs center field platoon of Jim Edmonds/Reed Johnson who were both picked up on waivers. There combined Cubs stats are as follows

Harden / Gaudin  36 innings 1.25 ERA and a ton of strikeouts.

Edmonds / Johnson  .281 avg 70 runs 18 homers 80 RBI and Very Solid and sometimes spectacular defense.

If you also consider the Cubs only owe these guys an average of $1,106,000 for this season. This is a lot less than the MLB average salary of $3,150,000.

Manny, C.C.  will each get more money from their new team than the total of these 4 cubs players. And Texiera is just a bit less than the cubs total.

  15. sabathia.
