I hate to say it but steroids did him in.   he was in the hay day of steroid use and that type of injury is very comin with people on the juice.      Im not saying he did but look at the size of his feakon head, compared to 2-3 years earlyer in college

LOL look at the size of his head, what does that have to do with anything.  Man that dude got a big dome he must be on roids.  And havin a bum hip being common amongst juicers,  haha that is even funnier.  Bo was one of the most amazing dual sport players ever.  If he would have played football full time instead of missing so many games to play baseball he would have had insane stats.  Oh and back to the juicing thing.  One of his most famous quotes, "Back before I injured my hip, I thought going to the gym was for wimps."  Guys that juice up are generally gym rats but not Bo he was naturally gifted and didn't take full advantage of it.  Had he spent more time in the gym he probably would have avoided the injury in the first place.

It wasn't the tackle, per se, that ended it.  It was the funky way his leg was positioned when he landed.  It just derailed his hip.  He just couldn't effectively rehab it.  Even still, he played pro baseball with a hip replacement - until it was apparent it was just not going to work out.  What a loss for sports fans everywhere.

Bo was incredible.  I'll never forget his putting the Bozz on his butt when they went 1 on 1 at the goal line  The LB is supposed to ALWAYS win that one - especially in the Pros.  Bo cleaned his clock.
