I would like to buy a fridge freezer. I'd like to buy an efficient model - A+ or A++ if possible and can afford about £300, maybe a bit more for a really good fridge. Any recommendations?

  1. frigidaire :)

  2. Nokia

  3. zanussi, smeg or lg.

they have won numerous awards for good value and reliability

    hope this helps out

  4. Electrolux.....I've had mine for 7 years and is still going strong and it's A+ rated, frost free, efficient and has a larger freezer underneath than the norm. I would definitely buy Electrolux again. I would like a water dispenser next time included though!

    Good luck with your purchase!

  5. If you have a main library near you, then they should have copies of Which magazine, who test them and publish product reviews. Also gives info on reliability and running costs.

I did that (new washing machine) and it not only saved me some money, but I avoided buying some real rubbish.

BTW I've got a Hoover fridge/freezer. I wouldn't recommend their home laundry products nor Hotpoint. Bosch are a good brand, but expensive, although you may find prices being cut.

Best time is when you see new models being advertised, as shops want to get rid of the older ones.

If you have a high st electrical shop have a look in there: able to do a better deal than the large multiples and might deliver and take away the old one for a nominal sum.

  6. Ive had a Samsung fridge/freezer for 6 years and never had a problem with it even after removal guys dropped it sideways!
